Visara International Extends Thin Client Offerings with Availability of New Products

Latest Thin Clients Provide More Power, More Choices and More Cost Savings

Raleigh, N.C. – [March 17, 2004] – Visara International, a world leader in the innovation, development and delivery of network computing solutions, today announced their newest thin client product line, expanding their solutions to include units with extended Linux and XPe operating systems.

The newest line of products is based upon Visara’s already established thin-client technologies, including resident emulations and optional native coax and twinax connectivity. The Linux extended operating system provides support for Citrix ICA®, RDP, and X-Windows protocols, while the resident Netscape web browser supports Java Virtual Machine. The resident Linux operating system also supports full Adobe® PDF viewing.

The total Visara thin client product line now includes twelve units, a significant expansion to the original four previously offered. The new line is comprised of three separate categories:

Iceblu: Visara’s iceblu line of thin client devices designed to replace mainframe “green screens,” client-server fixed-function terminals and desktop PCs that do not require all the features and functionality of the PC.

Cristalblu: Visara’s cristalblu line of thin client devices is designed to replace full-function desktop PC’s at a lower cost, while providing a smaller footprint, higher reliability, effortless maintenance, and full PC functionality.

Liquidblu: Visara’s liquidblu line of thin clients offer a full range of mobile computing devices, from Visara tablet thin clients to the upcoming release of vehicle mount wireless units. These devices are designed to fit even the harshest environments from ruggedized, to full NEMA rating and more. Visara liquidblu products are available with touch-screen displays, heaters and much more to meet the most demanding requirements.
