The Visara Communications Server family is a powerful platform for supporting
and managing diverse computing networks. It is designed to bring efficiency,
performance, and simplicity to your network. The 1174 communications servers
provide an advanced architecture and powerful operating system. The architecture
has been designed to support multi-processing operations for optimized
system performance. This family offers scaleable support for departmental,
workgroup, and enterprise operations. Product features include multi-processing
architecture, SNA to TCP/IP integration capabilities, multi-protocol communications
support, and ESCON and fast Ethernet connectivity options.
The S-Series is available in three models, the departmental server 1174-90S, the workgroup server 1174-65S, and the enterprise server 1174-25S. For departmental and remote locations, the 1174-90S brings a full feature set and the traditional functions of the network controller. For workgroup operations and mid-size networks, the 1174-65S offers the perfect combination of features, functions, and cost-effective operation. For enterprise operations, the 1174-25S has extensive capabilities to support a large number of users and complex operations. When reliable connectivity options are critical to a company's operations, there is no better networking solution than the Visara 1174 communications servers.
Visara 1199 Multiplexer
Multiplexing is the ideal solution when your growing network requires the addition of numerous dedicated cabling runs to displays or printers. Multiplexing also provides greater cabling flexibility when relocating existing or new host attached display stations or printers. And with per port LED indicators, the Visara 1199 Multiplexer Family enhances the diagnostic capabilities within your network.
