fresh handcrafted Ales and Lagers, and a diverse menu. Raleigh - 829-0214
Jillian's (Sports Bar, Dining)
Sixteen state-of-the-art pool tables, two full-service restaurants, three
full-service bars, video games, virtual reality games, darts, ping pong,
and all elegantly throughout two floors and 25,000 square feet of lit,
air-conditioned space. Raleigh - 821-7887
Newton's Southwest Restaurant & Bar
Carnivores rejoice at the grill offerings of filet, rib-eye, and t-bone,
prepared a la Houston, a la Dallas, a la cowboy. There's also chicken,
fish, ribs, and barbeque. Other fare tends toward the spicy: fajitas,
burritos, quesadillas, and taco salad offer more pedestrian (and inexpensive)
choices to the tex-mex diner. Cary - 677-1777
The Angus Barn (Steakhouse)
The Angus Barn is a fine dining restaurant with a casual atmosphere. Whether
a customer is out for a nice, quiet meal, a business dinner, or an elegant
evening on the town, the Angus Barn's goal is to make the dinner one that
will be long remembered. Raleigh - 787-3505
The Fox & Hound Restaurant & Pub
The "public house," whether called a pub, an inn or a tavern,
has long been the center of social life for communities in England, Wales,
Scotland and Ireland, offering a warm, relaxing, convivial meeting place
for residents and weary travelers as well. Welcome. Cary - 380-0080
The Warehouse (American Dining)
Come dine in our antique-filled dining room, where you'll find the largest
selection of tapas in the Southeast. Then after a wonderful dinner, relax
at our Martini Lounge, or join us next door for the best dance music you'll
ever hear. The lights and sound are phenomenal. It's a lot more than a
meal. Raleigh - 836-9966
Nana's
This unique combination of world class cuisine, award-winning wine list
and professional, attentive service make for a dining experience that
should not be missed. Durham - 493-8545.
Magnolia Grill
Airy, simple décor. Sophisticated, nationally recognized cuisine.
Make reservations well ahead of time. Durham's elite clamor to this prodigal
parlor, owned by Ben Barker, winner of the James Beard award, and his
wife Karen Barker, a nationally recognized pastry chef. Durham - 286-3609.
George's Garage
Part buffet, part chi-chi wine-a-teria, part sushi bar, part nouvelle
restaurant, part cognac-clinkers' bar. During the day this Ninth Street
hot spot hosts a decadently laden buffet that's packed with professionals.
At night it morphs into a sushi bar/nouvelle American dining room/wine
connoisseur hangout. On the weekend things heat up with live music--a
little jazz or some swing--that draws quite a crowd. Durham - 286-4131.
Cafe Parizade
Cafe Parizade and Georgio Bakatsias bring glam to the area, along with
eclectic dishes that evoke the Mediterranean. Italian, French and Greek
dishes, with a few Northern African and Oriental accents. Durham -- 286-9712.
